Whether online or at our pay window, when buying a ticket for our zoo you have the possibility of voluntarily donating a ‘Wildlife Conservation Euro’, - just a small amount, but one that has a large impact when it goes to where it is needed most. With this ‘Wildlife Conservation Euro’ we want to motivate as many of our visitors as possible to work together to conserve biological diversity. Selected projects that have convinced our zoo team of their long-term work will profit from these ‘Wildlife Conservation Euro’ proceeds. All these projects work to protect animal species whose existence is threatened in their native habitat. In particular the focus is on the protection of dolphins, gorillas, African penguins and Madagascar fossas. Further project co-operations are expected to follow in the near future.

If you are interested, we offer our loyal zoo visitors to have their current valid annual pass extended by the time lost due to the corona-related closure. Should you choose in favour of the zoo not to extend your annual pass, we greatly appreciate your loyalty and support during this difficult time. Back in the spring, in favour of the zoo, many annual pass holders chose not to extend their passes. This has made us even more aware of the importance of our zoo in society and how much support our animals enjoy. This is overwhelming and we are very grateful for it.
To apply for a desired extension, visit us at our Central Visitor Service and you will then receive your extension directly on site. Appointments to purchase annual tickets can be booked at jahreskartentermin.zoo-duisburg.de, and annual tickets can be purchased or extended at the Central Visitor Service.
